About the Role:
Our client, a leading company within the telecoms industry, is seeking a skilled Network Engineer to join their dynamic team in Milton Keynes. This is a fantastic opportunity for a talented professional to work on cutting-edge network infrastructure, ensuring high performance, security, and reliability across their operations.

As a Network Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, implementing, and maintaining network solutions that support the company's growth and operational needs. You will be responsible for troubleshooting complex network issues, optimizing performance, and working on projects that drive innovation in telecoms networking.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, configure, and maintain network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and other networking hardware.
Troubleshoot network issues to ensure maximum uptime and performance.
Work on network security protocols, ensuring data integrity and compliance with industry standards.
Support large-scale telecoms projects, collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders.
Monitor network performance and provide recommendations for improvements.
Document network configurations, processes, and procedures.
Stay up to date with emerging networking technologies and best practices.

Key Skills & Experience Required:

Proven experience as a Network Engineer within the telecoms industry or a similar sector.
Strong understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, etc.).
Hands-on experience with Cisco, Juniper, or equivalent networking hardware.
Knowledge of network security best practices, including firewalls, VPNs, and IDS/IPS solutions.
Familiarity with cloud networking and SD-WAN technologies is an advantage.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, JNCIA, or equivalent are highly desirable.
