MS Purview Architect
Hybrid working (2-3 days per week onsite in Knutsford, Cheshire)
6 Month contract initially, good scope for extension
£425 - £450 p/d (Umbrella-PAYE)

One of our blue chip clients are looking for an MS Purview Architect with good experience of the MS stack, to join the team on a long term programme of work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead technical architecture design and implementation of Microsoft Purview solutions.
  • Design and execute data scanning and labelling (AIP labelling, auto-labelling, and client-side labelling strategies to enhance data protection.
  • Develop and implement DLP policies and controls to prevent data exfiltration and ensure compliance.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior architects and engineers.
  • Collaborate with security, compliance, and IT teams to integrate Purview solutions seamlessly.
  • Conduct architecture reviews, assessments, and performance optimisations.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and industry standards.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges related to Purview deployments.
  • Stay updated with the latest Microsoft compliance and security technologies and best practices.
  • Document solution architectures, implementation guides, and technical designs.

    Key Skills / Experience:
  • Solid experience in enterprise security, compliance, or data governance.
  • Good experience working with Microsoft Purview (formerly Microsoft Compliance & Security solutions).
  • Strong expertise in data classification, labelling, and DLP solutions.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 Compliance Centre, Information Protection, and Endpoint DLP.
  • Expertise with SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive, and other Microsoft applications.
  • Deep understanding of data scanning and discovery across structured and unstructured environments.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Microsoft 365 Security & Compliance, and Azure Information Protection (AIP).
  • Experience with PowerShell scripting and automation for Purview configurations.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud security, Zero Trust principles, and Microsoft Security solutions.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to lead technical design sessions and engage with business stakeholders.
