Job summary

An exciting opportunity has risen within the haematology secretarial team based at County Hospital. We are looking to appoint a dynamic forward thinking secretary to provide a comprehensive and efficient secretarial service to the Haematology Team.

Candidates must have obtained OCR/RSA Stage III typewriting or equivalent and have knowledge of medical terminology/audio typing clinic letters and experience in database systems. We are looking to appoint an experienced secretary so you should have demonstrable experience within a similar role working at at least a support secretary level.

Main duties of the job

The ideal candidate will need to:

oGood general education to include GCSE English or equivalent

oRSA 3 word processing or equivalent

Experience

Secretarial and/or clerical experience Audio typewriting skills/ Knowledge of medical terminology 2 years' experience working in an acute hospital setting

Skills

Essential

Knowledge of Microsoft Office package Knowledge of the hospital EPR system Knowledge of patient administration and other related systems

Desirable

Previous reception duties in a health care setting
