We are working with a global quantitative and systematic hedge fund seeking a highly skilledMarket Data Governance Managerto join their expanding team in London. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the firm remains compliant with emerging regulations in market data and data governance. Your expertise will be critical in safeguarding the fund from potential threats while navigating the increasingly complex regulatory landscape.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance with new and existing market data and data governance regulations.
• Oversee the implementation and monitoring of data management policies.
• Collaborate with legal, compliance, and trading teams to mitigate risks related to market data.
• Lead audits and provide insights into regulatory trends and best practices.
• Manage vendor relationships to ensure proper use and licensing of market data.

Key Skills and Experience:

• Strong understanding of market data regulations and data governance frameworks.
• Previous experience within a hedge fund or financial institution, preferably in a compliance or data governance role.
• Excellent knowledge of regulatory impacts on market data, including MiFID II, GDPR, and MAR.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work cross-functionally with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
