TheBoeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS)- Phantom Works organization is seeking aLow Observable Design & Integration Engineerto join the Phantom Works team located inSt. Louis, Missouri.

This is a great opportunity to work on new designs and integration of stealth materials and technologies as part of an integrated product team. LO Design & Integration engineers apply knowledge of electromagnetic theory & principles to develop new and innovative stealthy systems and components for next generation platforms. This job requires both hands-on and deskwork. Some travel is expected.

Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Lead and Senior Level Supportable Low Observable (SLO) Engineers.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Support the LO Design and Integration team
  • Work within an Integrated Product Team
  • Develop and integrate cutting edge low observable technologies
  • Participate in weekly configuration development activities
  • Perform design optimization through electromagnetic modeling and simulation
  • Analyze signature data (RF or IR)
  • Work with suppliers and customers (internal & external) to ensure compliance with technical requirements
  • Direct testing of LO components

Other Responsibilities May Include:

  • Teamwork: Candidates must be able to positively interact with a wide range of personnel in design, fabrication, and testing of prototypes and aircraft parts and systems, including suppliers.
  • Data visualization and communication: Disseminate results and status to project stakeholders. Candidate may be representing the Boeing Company to Government Customers and/or suppliers.
  • Technical writing: Candidate will create and edit specifications, procedures, and reports.
  • Flexibility: Strong organization and documentation skills will be needed to manage multiple simultaneous projects in various states of maturity and/or multiple activities within a single project.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Travel may be required up to 10% of the time; Domestically and/or Internationally depending on business needs.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
  • (Level 4)9+ years of work-related experience with a Bachelor’s or 7+ years of work-related experience with a Master’s or 4+ years of work-related experience with a PhD.
  • (Level 5)14+ years of work-related experience with a Bachelor’s or 12+ years of work-related experience with a Master’s or 9+ years of work-related experience with a PhD.
  • 4+ years’ experience with one or more of the following is expected: LO Engineering Processes, Aircraft Design, Electromagnetic Propagation, Supportable Low Observables.
  • Candidate must have a positive attitude towards learning and a history of teamwork and taking initiative.
  • Experience with RF and/or IR test equipment, test procedures and data processing is highly desired.
  • Ability to mentor and provide technical leadership is required.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range (Lead, level 4): $118,150 - $159,850

Summary pay range (Senior, level 5): $145,350 - $196,650

Education:Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Required.

Relocation:This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.

Security Clearance:This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required. This position requires the ability to obtain program access, for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship only.
