Job Description

Experienced Head of Controls sought to lead a team of controls professionals within a large defence organisation. The Head of Controls must be capable of driving the controls discipline forward within the business, whilst maintaining delivery standards across a broad range of controls functions.

Key Responsibilities:
✅ Develop and implement PMO frameworks, governance, and best practices
✅ Oversee portfolio and program management, ensuring alignment with strategic goals
✅ Lead project controls, risk management, and reporting functions
✅ Support resource planning, budgeting, and stakeholder engagement
✅ Drive continuous improvement and efficiency in project delivery

Requirements:
🔹 Proven experience in a senior PMO leadership role
🔹 Strong understanding of project governance, risk, and controls
🔹 Experience with project management tools (P6, Primavera, MS Project, etc.)
🔹 Excellent stakeholder management and leadership skills
🔹 Relevant qualifications (APM, PMP, MSP, or equivalent)

Qualifications

Experience leading teams of multi-disciplined controls professionals. Demonstrable experience of improving Controls delivery. SC security cleared or clearable.
