Our independent Manager Research team is responsible for researching and selecting best-in-class asset managers from across the globe for our clients to invest in. The team is also responsible for identifying new and emerging themes, monitoring selected managers and delivering bespoke client projects.

The Liquid Fixed Income research function within the Manager Research team is unconflicted in its whole-of-market approach and is responsible for researching, selecting and monitoring investment grade, high yield, structured credit, sovereign debt and multi-asset credit asset managers across a diversified range of global, emerging and regional markets strategies. We are looking for you to join our Liquid Fixed Income Manager Research team, where you’ll be responsible for:

  • Conducting in-depth fund manager due diligence through a combination of qualitative and quantitative analysis.
  • Presenting and articulating fund manager recommendations to the Investment Strategy Committee, clients, prospects and internal stakeholders (such as the Investment Consultant team).
  • Closely monitoring fund managers against their objectives post-selection.
  • Actively contributing to the continual improvement of Redington’s Manager Research process.
  • Working on bespoke client requests for manager selection exercises, new market evaluations, deep dive diligence, portfolio reviews and recommendations.
  • As a senior member of the team, you would also be instrumental in supporting the ongoing development of more junior team members.

This role is for you if you have

  • A background in fund manager research and investment in any of the aforementioned asset classes.
  • An analytical mindset – ability to understand where a manager’s edge truly lies.
  • A ‘self-starter’ approach - taking the initiative and having the confidence to express a view.
  • Qualitative and quantitative investment evaluation skills.
  • A strong sense of process and ability to project-manage.
  • The ability to listen to, absorb, evaluate and communicate complex ideas clearly, verbally and in writing.
  • Experience working directly with clients.
  • 6+ years of investment experience.

It would be great if you also have

  • Experience working with institutional asset owners.
  • An understanding of ESG and Climate-focused investing.
  • Experience using industry tools such as Bloomberg and Pitchbook.
  • Strong, Excel-based analytical capabilities.
