BAM UK&I are looking for a Data Manager on a 2-year fixed term contract.
Your mission
Accountable for overseeing the end-to-end migration process between System Integrator and local country teams and co-ordinates data preparation and sign-off by the business as required. Responsible for approving the data migration scope, approach and criteria for each country within a release. Manages the business data teams and ensures that transparent tracking and reporting of status is captured. Aligns the data plan to the overall release plan and prioritizes resources as required to ensure a quality outcome.
• Develop the data migration strategy
• Working as part of team with responsibility for assessing the data landscape – HR, Payroll, Project, Procurement and Financial data
• Creating a data register of current data – classified by type, location, security and compliance requirements etc.
• Gathering the requirements for data migration and undertaking the data between the legacy and target system.
• Design the data migration process and tools to support the required migration of data including the reconciliation process
• Creating a roadmap to support the cleansing and standardisation of data to support the ERP solution
• Working closely with the integration teams and functional leads to understand data requirements – for integration, configuration, testing and reporting
• Identifying and prioritising issues
• Designing and planning the new data management framework
• Management and control of Deliverables, Risks & issues, Business Object Master List, L3 Data Migration ,data cleansing plan & associated L4 trackers.
• Drive data discovery & profiling activities with country data teams.
• Interrogate legacy data and develop required remediation, cleansing & enrichment activities.
• Determines all data migration environment, client & repository requirements.
• Support target solution data object capability in the country teams through knowledge transfer, Data Design documents (DOMD) and Position Papers. Facilitate country data meetings as required.
• Provide guidance and direction to the local countries in relation to day to day data related activities.
• Management of x-Release Data Migration activities including development of Data Repositories, Data Extraction Criteria, Data Quality Reporting, guidance and supporting Data Purification and Enrichment, Data Construction, Data Mapping, Readiness for Mock Conversion Cycles, pre and post Data Validation, and Cutover.
• Support creation/update of Information Architecture data flows.
• Able to assess data defects and support resolution.
• Single point of contact for Country Data team between System Integrator and Central Data teams.
• Support Remediation Lead on Data Remediation / Data Restatement activities in retained applications.
Who are we looking for?
Personal Specification: (New position type of person required, i.e., skills, knowledge, experience, qualifications, etc.)
• Expert in Data Migration processes and tools including BODs and S/4 HANA Migration Cockpit
• Experience of working within multi country - multi process Business, IT and SAP S/4 HANA Transformation programmes for Global organisations.
• Expert in SAP MDG and S/4 HANA Data structures and concepts.
• Ability to provide technical data leadership and proven track record of working in a matrix organisation model.
• Ability to review project deliverables for completeness, quality and compliance with established project standards.
• Ability to work under pressure and to time critical deadlines.
• Excellent stakeholder management, planning, written and oral communication skills.
• Highly analytical, experienced in AODocs, GSheet/Excel, MS Project/Smartsheets & Solution Manager essential
• Experience of SAP Activate Methodology
