This role can be based in either Howden East Yorkshire or Paddington and we are open to discussing flexible working options for the right candidate.

About the Role

We are looking for a Junior Data Analyst to join our Analytics & Insight team at PA Media.

You’ll play a key role in turning data into insight, supporting stakeholders across Editorial, Product, and Commercial teams to make smarter, data-informed decisions.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a grounding in data analysis and a collaborative mindset to develop within one of the UK’s most respected media organisations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Aggregate and analyse datasets across multiple products and platforms (e.g. platform usage, CRM systems, print tracking).
  • Design and deliver dashboards and reports to support editorial and commercial strategy.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to embed data in their daily decision-making.
  • Produce ad hoc reports for the Head of Data & Insight.
  • Support the Group CRM Lead with analysis and reporting.
  • Report on the impact of changes to products, services, or content.
  • Work with Product Managers and UX Designers on A/B testing initiatives.
  • Help promote a culture of data-informed thinking across the business.

About You

To succeed in this role, you’ll be analytical, curious, and confident communicating complex data in a clear and actionable way. You’ll also be keen to learn and build strong working relationships across teams.

You will bring:

  • Training in data analysis, data science, or data engineering.
  • Familiarity with working alongside editors, sales teams, product managers, or developers.
  • An ability to tailor reporting and insights to different audiences.
  • Confidence in explaining analytical findings in a clear and engaging manner.

Core Skills & Technologies

  • Advanced spreadsheet functions
  • SQL (maintaining and querying databases)
  • Google Analytics or similar web analytics tools
  • Data visualisation platforms such as Power BI or Tableau
