Your future position

The Data Analyst serves as a key player in understanding, analysing, and transforming data to enhance Kpler’s analytical output and product offerings in the maritime industry. This role combines data expertise with industry knowledge to align data solutions with market needs, boosting data quality and relevance in apps and maritime-related content. They participate in every stage of the data lifecycle—evaluation, collection, handling, visualization, and interpretation—with a focus on impactful, decision-supporting insights.

Your mission is to:

Performing daily checks - organizing, cleansing, validating and managing data from various sources on Kpler platform to ensure it's reliability and accuracy.
Continuously monitor data quality and suggest KPI improvements.
Research, collect, and process vessel, company, and metadata to enhance our products value.
Build dashboards for clients to visualise market movement, trends and performance.
Apply analytical methods to ensure accurate, error-free data presentation, and contribute to process improvements for data maintenance and visualization.
Identify technology and process improvements to automate routine tasks.
Respond to ad-hoc requests from clients relating to data and analysis, gathering feedback.
Build market expertise in all things relating to maritime and ship tracking data.
It will be a match if you are or have:

Approximately 2 years of experience working with large, disparate and/or unstructured data sets (advanced Excel skills and experience with SQL and Python).
Experience working with data visualisation tools (Tableau, Power BI or similar).
Excellent analytical ability, are at ease with working with databases, ability to highlight trends and use complex data to support decisions.
Possess excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
You work well in a global team environment, focusing on collaboration and adapting to the needs of a diverse team.
Nice to have

You ideally have exposure to/experience in the Maritime or Shipping space.
