Base pay range

An opportunity to work with our university as a key member of the Linux engineering team has been announced. We are looking for someone with a strong infrastructure background who has great exposure with Linux operating systems in a commercial environment (Redhat). This role is an opportunity for the right person to springboard their career and elevate their knowledge of Linux and Azure cloud technology.

We are looking for a talented Linux Engineer who can add value to our Linux team from day one. You will be a highly capable individual who is seeking to further their career in this space. You will be part of an organization that puts technology at the heart of everything they do, helping to promote efficiencies created.

Location:Hybrid working (2 days a week to London)

Contract type:Permanent

Essential skills:

  • DNS (Domain Name System)
  • Good knowledge of IT infrastructure and networking
  • Cloud exposure – ideally Azure and VMWare
  • Apache
  • Security framework implementation (Cyber Essentials, PCI-DSS, ISO27001, etc)

It is expected you have a good level of understanding of Linux and infrastructure. You will work across teams and be exposed to other areas of the business throughout, giving you the option to learn new technologies and ways of working.
