Summary of Position:

To provide the vision, strategy and management of the business IT infrastructure and progression to ensure the business is maximising the value of technology for efficiency and opportunity. This includes project management, daily problem solving and collaboration with key business stakeholders to specify and implement best practice business application solutions for all areas.


The Role

  • Provide clear vision for the future of technology and enable the value to the business.
  • Provide project management oversight for all technology projects within the business.
  • Provide Agile Project Sponsorship for Organisational Transformation initiatives
  • Provide strong management of all business applications and helpdesk solutions.
  • Ensure daily requirements of the business are met and handled effectively through appropriate ITIL Practices by Head of IT or the IT Team to provide the business with a unified dynamic support network.
  • Give a deep understanding to the ongoing business application development and landscape.
  • Provide leadership and management to all direct reports, encouraging teamwork, open communication, integrity and high standards.
  • Work closely on day to day with the IT Team, to ensure all project activities requiring IT involvement are delivered on time, to budget and quality.
  • Lead to e-Commerce Strategy, identifying e-shop capability, vision and evolution to ensure services to clients remain current and fit for purpose.
  • Foresight in potential risk to other departments of the business by implementing new features or system amendments.
  • Ability to coordinate and in some cases be able to action, technical changes and updates to software and hardware infrastructure.
  • Implement governance structure to all IT work to reduce risk, maximise value and output and ensure integrity.
  • Provide management with the utmost integrity, confidentiality and trust as comes with the nature of the role being privy to more data than most.
  • Support work colleagues, customers and suppliers, understand their requirements, help advise on how technology can deliver business benefit and translate into working solutions.
  • Management of Third Party technical suppliers, ensuring they deliver services that meet KPI’s, SLA’s, identifying new strategic partners and supporting the creation and alignment of contracts to business needs.
  • Drive data strategy and evolve Data Analytics and Insights solutions for clients, ensuring regular enhancement of offering and introduction of new capability



Qualifications and Training


Essential

  • Large Enterprise ERP Software Certification e.g SAP, Netsuite, Dynamics
  • Experience in web integrations


Desirable

  • Training in common business applications such as Microsoft etc.



Experience


Essential

  • A successful track record in the support of ERP systems, with in-depth knowledge of Enterprise ERP Software ERP platforms.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into really functional technical solutions.
  • Day to day support of business stakeholders and helpdesk requirements.
  • Deep understanding of IT security and successful application in a business environment.
  • Experience of working in a team environment and ability to collaborate with wider team on training/implementation.
  • Ability to focus on day-to-day task prioritisation and execution for projects in line with company roadmap.
  • Knowledge of and experience of reporting and analytics preferably in enterprise level ERP Software.
  • Third party and Vendor Management experience, defining and managing SLA’s and KPI’s


Desirable

  • Provision of 1st line IT support services.
  • Experience in the configuration of technical hardware, including telephony and networking.
  • Deep working knowledge of other web applications.
