Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experiencedData Engineerto join a dynamic and fast-paced private equity-backed financial services business on an interim basis. This is a key role for someone who can make an immediate impact, bringing technical expertise and strategic insight to deliver a consolidated data solution for the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Data Integration and Consolidation

• Design and implement asingle source of truthby pulling data from multiple sources, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and reliability.
• LeverageMicrosoft Fabricto develop scalable and efficient data pipelines.
• Identify and address data quality issues across various systems and processes.

1. Data Strategy and Execution

• Provide bothhands-on technical solutionsandstrategic guidanceto align data initiatives with business objectives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish robust data management processes and frameworks.

1. Stakeholder Management

• Act as a bridge between technical teams and business stakeholders to ensure that data solutions meet organizational needs.
• Translate complex technical concepts into actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders.
• Manage expectations and communicate progress effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

1. Technical Development and Maintenance

• Build and maintain efficient, scalable data architecture to support business intelligence and analytics.
• Ensure the security, integrity, and accessibility of all data pipelines and systems.

Key Requirements:

• Experience with Microsoft Fabric: Proven expertise in designing and deploying data pipelines and architecture using Microsoft Fabric.
• Financial Services Background: Deep understanding of the financial services industry, its data structures, and compliance requirements.
• Data Integration Expertise: Ability to consolidate multiple data sources into a single, reliable source of truth.
• Hands-On & Strategic: Comfortable balancing tactical data engineering tasks with long-term strategic planning.
• Stakeholder Management Skills: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with technical teams and senior leadership.
