Job title: Insight and Data Specialist (Content and Owned Media)

Contract: Six month (possibility of extension)

Location: Hybrid London

Start Date: Jan 2025

The Mission

To act as a strategic foundation across all projects and work streams - enhancing the quality, accessibility and performance of data through grounded analysis and insight generation

In as much as the role demands the ability to consult with the wider team, the primary mission is to act as the insight centre-point of all projects and as a source of authority, conduit and convener of all insight and data activities.

The Person

A natural collaborator and communicator, the Senior Manager, Insight and Data, will work closely with cross-functional communications teams and agency partners to understand their data needs and provide actionable insights.

Effective communication, both written and verbal, is crucial for presenting complex data findings in a clear and concise manner to non-technical stakeholders. Additionally, the ability to lead and support multiple projects and deadlines, while maintaining a high level of organization and attention to detail, is key.

Technical proficiency is equally critical, with expertise in data analysis tools such as Google Analytics, Looker Data Studio, GTM, and Sprinklr, as well as data visualization tools such as Power BI. Problem-solving skills are vital for identifying issues and developing effective solutions.

This person needs to be a self-starter with an infectious energy that generates momentum and enthusiasm from others.

Ability to dissect complex data sets and identify meaningful patterns and trends to reveal root causes and early signals that lead to hypothetical strategic avenues.
Capability to utilize quantitative and qualitative data to enhance audience engagement and communication outcomes.
Proactively mine data for insight that may support the overall mission of the wider teaTechnical Proficiency and Data Management:

Expertise in data analysis and management tools (including BigQuery, Google Analytics, Looker Data Studio, GTM, Sprinklr, and others).
Advanced skills in data visualization tools (including Power BI, Tableau).
In-depth knowledge and experience with digital communication channels, including websites and social media.
Knowledge of best practices in data collection, storage, and analysis.

Communication & Stakeholder Skills:

Strong ability to present data findings clearly and concisely to non-technical stakeholders.
Ability to anticipate and respond to the needs of internal and external stakeholders.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Core Responsibilities

Data Management, Analysis & Reporting:

Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that inform digital communication strategies.
Develop and maintain dashboards and reports, in conjunction with the Manager of Ops and Technology, Channels Team, and Agency Partners, to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and measure program effectiveness.
Co-create regular reports and presentations with Stakeholder Managers and Channel Teams, highlighting key insights and recommendations.
Ensure data integrity and accuracy by implementing best practices in data collection, storage, and analysis.
Work with Stakeholder Managers to integrate departmental data from various sources and ensure seamless data flow.Strategic Insight Development:

Collaborate with Stakeholder Managers, Creative Team, Channels Team, and Agencies to develop data-driven strategies that enhance audience engagement and content performance.
Use predictive analytics to forecast trends and inform future content and communication strategies.
Scan wider global trends in conjunction with 3rd parties to develop a proactive and data driven view of future opportunitiesStakeholder Collaboration and Team Support:

Partner with Stakeholder Managers to understand their data needs and provide insights that support their objectives.
Conduct retrospective analyses of key projects highlighting pathways to performance improvement.
Act as a subject matter expert on data analytics within the wider Content and Owned Media team, providing guidance and training as needed.Experiences

Core background in marketing and communications across various disciplines, particularly digital/social media engagement, integrated campaigns, and paid media initiatives.
Track record of supporting the development of data driven, global, omni-channel communication strategies and of turning data into meaningful and actionable insight
Established results driven data and insight lead working across complex projects with multiple stakeholders at varying levels and in a multi-national setting
Proven precision in data handling and attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and reliability of insights.
In-depth experience with digitally based analytics tools and software, including Google Analytics, Looker Data Studio, GTM, BigQuery, Power BI, and Sprinklr.
Extensive knowledge of digital media channels and platforms, including websites, LinkedIn, X, Facebook, YouTube, and others.
Experience working in cross-functional teams in a multi-national context and / or agency-style environments
