Are you excited by the opportunity to drive meaningful change and work for an organisation with a purpose to make a real difference to the communities they serve and wider society?

If so, we'd love to hear from you!

The Organisation

Trust stands for a single purpose; to have a positive impact on the lives of their customers across the communities they serve through the provision of affordable homes and life improving services. They are well on the way on their journey to digitally transform the business, enhance services and experiences for their customers and employees, and streamline operations through sector leading-edge technology and leveraging data.

Trust is in the final year of an existing five-year business strategy (the Time is Now) - which is delivering significant technology change and a cloud-first strategy - and will be developing a new strategy over the next 12 months or so with a big focus on building on their modern technology portfolio and implementing emerging technologies such as gen AI.

The Role

As the Head of Digital & Data, you'll lead on delivering the digital and data elements of Trust’s bold business strategy and work as part of the senior leadership team to shape future strategy and make a lasting impact. You will lead (in partnership with our Service Design team) on shaping and implementing innovative digital and data solutions that improve customer experience, boost efficiency, drive data-decision making and actionable insights, and future-proof the business.

You'll be accountable for IT operations, maintaining and optimising the existing portfolio of technologies, keeping the business safe from cyber threats, and fostering a culture of digital and data literacy. You'll also lead and mentor the Digital & Data team - a small but talented team of digital and data specialists.

Responsibilities

  • As an active member of the Leadership Team, you’ll lead the Digital & Data Team and take the lead on implementing Trust’s digital and data strategies, ensuring alignment with the overarching business strategy.
  • You’ll oversee the day to day running of IT and digital services and solutions whilst also leading on key digital transformation initiatives to improve customer services, experiences and bring efficiencies.
  • You’ll take the lead in the adoption of new technologies, working with both internal and external partners to enable scalable, secure and integrated digital solutions to meet both end user and business needs.
  • Be a visible and active focal point for technology, digital and data services, working with key stakeholders to drive the digital agenda across Trust’s digital products, data and information management, cyber security and business continuity.
  • Future proof solutions by identifying, evaluating and implementing new and emerging technologies in line with the strategy.

The Person

  • You’ll be educated to degree level (or equivalent) or can demonstrate a significant track record of similar senior technology leadership positions (with relevant professional certifications).
  • Have a track record of leading technology and digital teams with a focus on digital transformation, strategy and technology innovation.
  • You’ll have particular knowledge/experience of Microsoft technologies (including Microsoft 365 and Azure).
  • Show strong technology knowledge across a variety of solutions including cloud, business applications, infrastructure, networking, cyber security, data telephony and customer focused digital services as well as core data principles (across data architecture, warehousing and integration).
  • Have knowledge of key emerging technologies such as AI and Machine Learning.
  • You will have superb team leadership skills, demonstrating the ability to motivate and inspire a team, drive a performance culture and develop high performing digital and technology teams.
  • Display strong knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, governance and industry wide standards/practices including ISO, ITIL, etc.
  • Superb communication skills and a customer centred approach to the delivery of technology, digital and data solutions.

This is an incredible opportunity to join a forward thinking organisation, with technology, data and digital at the forefront of their bold technology strategy. You will not only lead a team to revolutionise the customer experience, you will define the future of the Trust's service provision and push the boundaries of how a digital service can make lives better.
