My client is a leading EdTech business in the UK that empowers educators to create interactive and customizable teaching materials in minutes, turning static lessons into dynamic, student-centred learning experiences. With millions of active users across the globe, strong organic growth and a beloved product by teachers, the company is entering an exciting new chapter as they drive innovation through emerging technologies such as AI to build an even more powerful product.


The Head of Data Science & Analytics will build and lead the team that powers data driven decision making across the business. The role will be responsible for establishing best in class data practices and analysis, improving data accessibility and enabling every business function to leverage insights for smarter decision making.


Day to day you will be responsible for leading the delivery of high quality analysis that drives strategic and operational decisions; develop frameworks for tracking performance measuring outcomes and running testing; translating complex data in clear and actionable insights. You'll be supporting product innovation by exploring and implementing new AI/ML approaches. You'll establish and scale best practice for making data accessible, reliable and actionable as well as expand the use of self service analytics, ensure data and insights are available to inform strategic and operational decisions. You will also lead and mentor a high performing data analytics team.


  • The successful candidate will have at least 5 years experience in data science and analytics and will have had some previous experience managing a team.
  • Proven expertise in applied data analysis and a deep understanding of experimentation, statistical modelling, and advanced analytics.
  • Hands-on experience with MLOps practices, cloud environments (AWS or Azure), and classical ML model deployment.
  • Proficiency in Python, SQL, modern data science tools/platforms and BI tools.
  • Experience enabling data accessibility and self service analytics at scale.


Ideally you'll have a background in SaaS, EdTech or a similar industry along with experience of integrating advances analytics or AI/ML into customer facing products. This is an fantastic opportunity to join a market leader in the field of EdTech using the most advanced technology for their continued product innovation. The role is fully remote but the team are highly collaborative and inclusive and are looking for someone with as much passion as them for delivering the best product possible.
