Pinpoint Resourcing are working with a well established logistics company based near Hounslow, who are actively seeking a Head of Data Analytics to join their team.

Job Description & Role

As Head of Data Analytics, you are responsible for leading the strategic use of data to drive business insights, decision-making, and performance improvement across the organisation. This role involves overseeing data collection, analysis, and visualisation, managing a team of analysts, and collaborating with stakeholders to translate complex data into actionable strategies. You ensure data integrity, implement advanced analytics methodologies, and contribute to the development of a data-driven culture, aligning analytics initiatives with overall business goals.

Main Responsibilities

  • Define key performance indicators and build dashboards that make operational performance transparent and actionable

  • Proactively identify areas for improvement across the network and recommend strategic and operational initiatives

  • Translate complex business problems into analytical questions – and analytical results into clear, actionable recommendations

  • Collaborate with our IT department to build data solutions that improve our network’s efficiency and resilience

  • Operate independently while being a collaborative team member—effectively managing relationships, deliverables, and expectations with business stakeholders

  • Identify and specify data needs and quality requirements and work closely with IT to ensure data is available, accurate and corresponds to the business needs

  • Consolidate and distribute best analytical practices from different teams and countries

    Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience as a data analyst or in a similar role

  • Excellent SQL skills and experience with BI/data visualisation tools (Preferably Power BI)

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to derive insight and drive change from data

  • Effective communication skills – you can clearly explain technical results to both technical and non-technical audiences

  • Highly collaborative and cross-functional experience, especially in fast-moving operational environments

  • A commercial mindset – you care about impact, not just insight

    Salary + other information:

  • £45,000 - £50,000

  • 4 days in the office - 1 day from home

  • Based near Hounslow
