As part of Turner & Townsend, the UK Digital business unit has a rapidly growing team of 160+ UK Digital colleagues sitting within our Infrastructure and Real Estate business areas who are responsible for providing Digital products and services to our clients.
The Turner and Townsend UK Digital team is primarily made up of Data Analysts, Business Analysts, BIM and Information Management Consultants, Smart Building Consultants, Digital Strategy Consultants, IT Project Managers, Data Architects/Engineers, Change & Transformation Consultants, along with a growing team of Consultants with Data Science, Software Development and IT Security capabilities.
Our digital services cover Digital Advisory, Strategy and Transformation, Data and Systems Strategy, Data and Technology Project Management, Data Analytics and Automation, BIM and Information Management, Smart Buildings and IOT, Digital Project Controls and Digital Security.
The UK Digital GDP provides each Graduate with the opportunity to work as Junior Consultants on a wide variety of the above Service Areas with clients across a wide range of sectors including Transport, Healthcare, Rail, Energy, Telecoms, Defence, Government, High Tech, Finance and many more!
Example roles:
Data Analyst
Data Analysts apply analytical and problem-solving skills and techniques to effectively transform unstructured data and present it back in an informative fashion, through the use of data visualisation dashboards. In addition, it is important to understand conceptual, logical and physical data modelling; what techniques you might use and when to apply them. You will gain an ability to develop knowledge of data cleansing, ETL processes, database design, application and visualisation tools. As a junior consultant, you will need strong logical thinking, analytical and communication skills to engage with clients to gather requirements and present findings in a clear and compelling way.
Business Analyst
Our team of Business Analysts solve complex business problems by capturing and validating user requirements into a set of detailed functional specifications to aid the delivery of products or services. Business Analysts require the ability to act as a trusted advisor to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
Business Analysts clearly and accurately communicate with a variety of stakeholders using appropriate tools, methods, techniques and documentation. Business Analysts are also responsible for running workshops with stakeholders, defining business processes, products and service improvements, project managing the roll-out of products/processes/services and conducting UAT (user acceptance testing) for continuous quality improvement exercises.
Business Analysts work closely and collaboratively with product owners and data analysts utilising agile methodology to guide the iterative development of products via prioritised product, programme or project backlogs.
BIM Consultant
The BIM (Building Information Modelling) team works closely with design teams and project managers to support the successful delivery of an asset’s information throughout delivery and into operations. The digital model is used throughout the design, construction and operation of a built asset containing the data necessary to quantify a wealth of factors, for instance capital and operational cost, carbon, health and safety, etc. Our team helps clients to prioritise their information requirements to ensure that these requirements are met by the design teams. This usually involves model assurance checks and performance reporting.
Change and Digital Transformation Consultant
The Change and Digital Transformation Teamwork alongside clients embarking on a digital journey to bring efficiencies and effectiveness through digital ways of working.
Operating within a change and transformation role you will have to understand the need for organisational change to be able to develop their desired state, including benefits realisation and process requirements while appreciating their people and technological competencies. We use best practice management consulting methods; engaging with stakeholders across operational, strategic and executive levels of an organisation to understand and analyse their as-is state, their desired vision and to-be state. Ultimately our consultants will articulate a clear and comprehensive strategic roadmap on how to achieve the clients desired outcome.
You will gain a deep understanding of both human and machine elements of change and digital transformation, working closely with a range of consultancy disciplines from systems and data to project management SMEs. You will have the opportunity to engage with stakeholders, creating the optimal narrative to ensure the transformation is as clear and continuous as possible, with minimal disruption to the organisation. Additionally, you will gain a variety of skills including stakeholder management, benefits management and business process modelling.

In some regional roles being able to drive will be necessary due to the location of client offices. Please also note this is not a remote role as we operate a hybrid working approach you will need to be willing and able to work in a Turner & Townsend office or a client site.
