About Fuelius

Fuelius is an Elite HubSpot Partner and digital transformation consultancy. We help mid-market and enterprise organisations modernise their CRM, integrate their systems, and unlock commercial value through data.

As a consultancy, CRM is what we do, and data engineering sits at the heart of that work. From re-platforming legacy CRMs to designing robust system integrations, we help our clients bring clarity, control, and commercial alignment to their customer data.

We’re now looking for a graduate data engineer to join our growing team and play a key role in delivering the data work that underpins our transformation programmes. This is a technical, hands-on role — perfect for someone looking to build a long-term career in data, starting from the ground up in a highly supportive environment.

The Role

This is a full-time, permanent position for a graduate-level data engineer who wants to work in a real-world, delivery-focused consultancy environment.

You’ll start by supporting our senior engineers and CRM consultants on the data transformation and migration work that is central to our CRM rip-outs and re-platforming projects. Many of our clients are moving away from systems like Salesforce or Microsoft Dynamics, where their source data is often messy, inconsistent, or incomplete. Your job will be to help clean, structure, and prepare that data for migration into modern CRM platforms.

You’ll also support on data integration projects, working with consultants and engineers to map source and target data models, and build plans for transforming and syncing data between systems.

This is a technical delivery role, not a data analyst position. You’ll be working directly with raw data, transforming it, cleaning it, and helping define the pipelines that support CRM and commercial transformation projects.

Development Pathway

We invest heavily in our people, and this role comes with a clear three-year development track. Here’s what your growth could look like:

Year 1

  • Supporting CRM data migration and transformation tasks
  • Learning to work with structured and unstructured customer data
  • Assisting with integration planning and basic mapping
  • Learning consultancy ways of working, including project and client exposure

Year 2

  • Taking ownership of specific migration workstreams
  • Supporting and delivering data hygiene services (e.g. enrichment, de-duplication, normalisation, rekeying, segmentation alignment)
  • Beginning to contribute to data quality reporting, supporting account teams with insights and recommendations
  • Shadowing more advanced engineers on system integration and pipeline design

Year 3

  • Leading data transformation and hygiene phases of CRM projects
  • Working on ETL processes, data pipelines, and system-level integrations
  • Beginning to design and maintain simple data warehouse structures, working with cloud-based data tools and connectors
  • Contributing to the development of Fuelius’ internal data tooling and frameworks
  • Supporting clients directly on data quality, enrichment strategy, and governance best practice

Requirements

What We’re Looking For

  • Degree-level education in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or a similar field
  • Strong technical curiosity — ideally with some exposure to working with data in Python, SQL, or other scripting languages
  • A structured thinker who enjoys solving messy data problems and building repeatable processes
  • Clear communicator, eager to learn and collaborate with both technical and non-technical teams
  • An interest in CRM systems and how data flows across commercial platforms
  • Highly organised, detail-focused, and delivery-driven
  • UK-based, and able to work in a hybrid model (two days per week in our office)

Why Join Fuelius?

  • Join a growing consultancy where engineering and data are central to how we deliver CRM transformation
  • Learn from experienced consultants, engineers, and architects across live, complex projects
  • Work on real-world problems with immediate impact on our clients’ businesses
  • Follow a clear three-year development plan, with support to grow into a mid-level engineer
  • Competitive salary, hybrid working, and a supportive, high-performance culture
  • 26 years of industry experience and a strong commitment to data quality and security

Benefits

At Fuelius, we believe people do their best work when they’re supported, trusted, and given the opportunity to grow. Here’s what you can expect when you join us:

How to Find Hidden Data Science Jobs in the UK Using Professional Bodies like the RSS, BCS & More

The data science job market in the UK is thriving—but also increasingly competitive. As organisations in finance, healthcare, retail, government, and tech accelerate digital transformation, the demand for data talent has soared. Yet many of the best data science jobs are never posted publicly. They’re shared behind closed doors—within professional networks, at invite-only events, or through member-only mailing lists and specialist interest groups. These “hidden” roles are often filled through referrals, collaborations, or direct outreach to trusted experts. In this guide, we’ll show you how to unlock these hidden opportunities by engaging with key UK professional bodies such as the Royal Statistical Society (RSS), BCS (The Chartered Institute for IT), and Turing Society, plus communities like PyData and AI UK. You’ll learn how to use directories, CPD events, and networks to move beyond job boards—and into roles where you’re approached, not just applying.

How to Get a Better Data Science Job After a Lay-Off or Redundancy

Redundancy can be tough to face, especially in a competitive field like data science. But it’s important to know: your experience, analytical thinking, and modelling skills are still in demand. Across sectors like healthcare, finance, e-commerce, government and AI startups, UK employers continue to seek data scientists who can deliver value through insight, prediction, and automation. This guide will walk you through how to bounce back from redundancy with purpose and clarity—whether you're a data analyst looking to step up, a mid-level data scientist, or a machine learning specialist seeking a better-aligned opportunity.

Data Science Jobs Salary Calculator 2025: Find Out What You Should Earn in the UK

Why last year’s pay survey is already out of date for UK data scientists “Am I being paid enough?” Every data professional eventually asks that question—often after a teammate reveals a hefty counter‑offer, a recruiter shares a six‑figure opening, or a headline trumpets the latest multimillion‑pound AI investment. Yet salary guides published even twelve months ago belong in a museum. Generative‑AI hype re‑priced Machine‑Learning Engineer roles, LLM fine‑tuning turned Prompt Engineering into a genuine career path, & fresh regulation forced companies to hire Responsible‑AI Officers on senior‑scientist money. To cut through the noise, DataScience‑Jobs.co.uk distilled a transparent, three‑factor formula. Insert your role, your region, & your seniority, and you’ll get a realistic 2025 salary benchmark—no stale averages, no vague ranges. This article walks you through the formula, examines the forces pushing data‑science pay ever higher, and offers five concrete actions to boost your market value within ninety days.
