Position Overview

The Director, Global OUS Patient Marketing & Expansion will be a strategic leader responsible for:

  1. Driving comprehensive patient marketing strategies across OUS countries
  2. Managing existing OUS patient marketing programs
  3. Developing marketing capabilities for new market entries
  4. Optimizing patient recruitment and engagement across global clinical research sites

What You'll Be Working On (Duties include but not limited to):

Existing OUS Patient Marketing Management

  1. Lead and execute patient marketing strategies for established international markets
  2. Develop and maintain comprehensive patient communication programs across multiple regions
  3. Manage ongoing patient recruitment and retention initiatives for global clinical trials
  4. Monitor and optimize patient engagement metrics across different geographical markets

Clinical Trial Patient Marketing Strategy

  1. Create targeted communication approaches for diverse patient populations across therapeutic areas
  2. Design patient-facing materials that simplify complex clinical trial information
  3. Develop multilingual patient recruitment marketing collateral aligned with local cultural and medical communication norms
  4. Implement data-driven patient recruitment strategies tailored to specific international markets

New Market Entry Strategy

  1. Conduct comprehensive market research for potential new country entries
  2. Develop detailed market assessment frameworks including:
    1. Healthcare system analysis
    2. Patient communication preferences
    3. Regulatory marketing constraints
    4. Cultural communication nuances
  3. Create adaptive patient marketing playbooks for each new market
  4. Identify and mitigate potential patient engagement barriers in emerging markets

Patient Marketing Capability Development

  1. Design and implement patient marketing capabilities from the ground up in new markets
  2. Establish local patient engagement infrastructure, including:
    1. Multilingual call center capabilities
    2. Local digital communication platforms
    3. Patient support and information systems
  3. Develop scalable yet locally-tailored patient marketing capabilities
  4. Create robust patient data management systems compliant with local regulations

Localization and Cultural Intelligence

  1. Conduct deep-dive cultural communication assessments for each target market
  2. Develop marketing creative strategies that resonate with local patient populations
  3. Create translation and cultural adaptation protocols for patient materials
  4. Build relationships with local healthcare communicators and patient advocacy groups
  5. Ensure marketing materials meet both global brand standards and local cultural expectations

Digital and Data Strategy

  1. Leverage digital marketing technologies to enhance patient engagement
  2. Implement advanced data analytics to measure marketing effectiveness
  3. Develop patient data integration strategies compliant with international privacy regulations
  4. Create comprehensive dashboards tracking patient marketing performance across markets

Physical and Travel Requirements

This is an on-site position with regional commute requirements. Regularly planned travel within region will be required as part of the role. Overnight travel will be minimal (<10%).

What You Bring

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  1. Expert working knowledge of GCP guidelines and quality regulations/expectations pertaining to clinical trials.
  2. Knowledge and understanding of the industry requirements, best practice, and organization of a clinical research site.
  3. Minimum of 3 years industry experience and have had exposure to internal audits as well as Regulatory inspections.

  1. Minimum of 3 years of industry experience
