Gen AI Solution Engineer (14893) London, England

We are seeking an experiencedGen AI Senior Engineerto join a forward-thinking team focused on building cutting-edge Generative AI capabilities. In this role, you will help develop a firmwide AI Development Platform that will enable the adoption of AI solutions across the enterprise. You will work closely with internal teams, enhance developer experiences, and drive innovation in the use of AI for personalized, scalable, and impactful applications.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  1. Design and build a firmwide AI Development Platform to support the integration of Generative AI capabilities throughout the organization.
  2. Create proof-of-concept applications, examples, and tools to provide developers with access to Gen AI models via standardized APIs.
  3. Develop self-service tooling that streamlines the deployment and management of AI solutions.
  4. Collaborate with developers to optimize the process of building and deploying AI applications.
  5. Guide internal teams on best practices within the Generative AI ecosystem, including models (e.g., GPT, Llama, Hugging Face) and libraries (e.g., Langchain, Sematic Kernel).
  6. Contribute to technical leadership, driving key design decisions and product selections for Generative AI solutions.
  7. Engage in customer-facing interactions, providing expertise in AI capabilities and implementations.
  8. Develop integrations with large-scale vector stores for embedding management and enhance platform scalability.

Skills and Experience You Will Need:

  1. 8–12 yearsof experience in software engineering, design, and development.
  2. Strong hands-on experience in building software platforms, API development, and working with REST frameworks.
  3. In-depth knowledge of AIML technologies and hands-on experience implementing Generative AI solutions.
  4. A developer mindset, with the ability to build common, reusable solutions for scaling AI use cases, utilizing pre-trained and fine-tuned models.
  5. Proven leadership in driving innovative AI solutions in a large-scale enterprise setting.
  6. Proficiency in at least one prominent programming language (Python is preferred).
  7. Strong understanding of data engineering, including SQL, NoSQL, Big Data, and data governance.
  8. Hands-on experience with DevOps principles and CI/CD pipelines.
  9. Familiarity with code repositories such as GitHub and BitBucket.
  10. Experience deploying applications to cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP), and using tools like Terraform.
  11. Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to a wide range of stakeholders.
  12. Passion for increasing productivity through AI and fostering the adoption of AI solutions.
  13. Strong desire and ability to influence development teams and accelerate their adoption of AI technologies.

Desired Skills:

  1. Experience with AI-based application development, particularly Generative AI and LLM applications.
  2. Practical experience working with AI development services on cloud platforms like Azure Cognitive Services, AWS SageMaker, or Google Vertex AI.
  3. Exposure to working in regulated industries such as financial services or insurance.
  4. Expertise in Model Ops, ML Ops, or LLM Ops.
  5. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
