About Us

We’re a fast-growing global entertainment company ($14M revenue, 60+ team members) creating immersive experiences that drive real social change. Our customers don’t just buy tickets—they become part of something bigger. We’re ambitious, creative, and impact-driven, blending art, technology, and storytelling to deliver world‑class experiences.

About The Role

We’re seeking a versatile, full‑stack developer with strong data engineering capabilities to join our stellar international team. You will work directly with the Head of Systems to bring technical projects to life, with primary ownership of our analytics pipeline and data infrastructure—handling everything from ETL processes and data warehouse management to real‑time dashboards and GDPR‑compliant data architecture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the implementation and maintenance of our analytics pipeline, ensuring data flows seamlessly from source systems to actionable insights.
  • Deploy, configure, and maintain our Snowflake data warehouse, optimizing performance and managing costs.
  • Implement and manage FiveTran connectors and orchestrate ETL/ELT processes for data transformation.
  • Build and maintain real‑time dashboards displaying live operational metrics across our global operations.
  • Design and implement GDPR‑compliant data architecture, ensuring proper data handling across regions and jurisdictions.
  • Develop sophisticated SQL queries, stored procedures, and data models to support complex business analytics.
  • Create automated reporting systems and data visualizations that empower teams with actionable insights.
  • Monitor data quality, implement validation processes, and troubleshoot pipeline issues.
  • Develop and maintain software applications integrating third‑party APIs.
  • Build cloud‑based applications using JavaScript, Python, Node.js, and Google Apps Script.
  • Create and customize web pages using React, Prepr CMS, and WYSIWYG SaaS platforms.
  • Assist with Shopify development and customization.
  • Utilize AWS services (Lambda, S3) to build, maintain, and scale cloud applications.
  • Provide occasional systems administration coverage during absences.
  • Integrate new tools using API calls and middleware (e.g., Make.com).
  • Maintain existing infrastructure based around Snowflake, AWS, Airtable, and Google Sheets.
  • Partner with teams across the organization to translate business needs into technical and data solutions.
  • Collaborate with Project Management and Head of Systems to deliver scoped projects.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting as needed.
  • Cover essential process‑based tasks during team absences to maintain business continuity.
  • Assist with routine operations and maintenance to ensure system stability.
  • Support live operations; occasional after‑hours support may be required.

Essential Skills

  • Advanced SQL proficiency with experience writing complex queries, CTEs, window functions, and optimization.
  • Hands‑on experience deploying and maintaining Snowflake (or similar modern data warehouses).
  • Practical experience with FiveTran or similar ETL/ELT tools.
  • Strong understanding of data transformation, ETL processes, and data modeling.
  • Experience building real‑time dashboards and operational analytics.
  • Understanding of GDPR and data compliance requirements, particularly cross‑region data handling.
  • Proficiency in JavaScript, Python, and Node.js.
  • Experience with AWS (Lambda, S3) and other cloud platforms.
  • Experience with API development and integration.
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace (Sheets, Apps Script).
  • Strong problem‑solving, attention to detail, and curiosity.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience with BI tools and data visualization platforms (Looker, Tableau, Metabase, etc.).
  • Experience building or integrating AI tools, such as customer‑facing chatbots or internal AI workflows.
  • Web development experience (React / Next.js a plus).
  • Experience with Shopify development.
  • Knowledge of data streaming technologies for real‑time processing.
  • A great sense of humour and a collaborative spirit.

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary.
  • The opportunity to drive real social change through entertainment.
  • Ownership of critical data infrastructure for a global creative brand.
  • Work with a passionate international team spanning 12 countries.
  • Direct impact on high‑visibility, strategic projects.
  • Equity and career progression opportunities as we scale.
  • Fully remote work and fully flexi‑time.
  • Up to 35 days of paid time off per year.
  • A kind, supportive company culture we’re proud of.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

Success in this role will be measured by your ability to deliver stable, scalable, and high‑quality technical solutions that drive operational efficiency. You’ll know you’re thriving when:

Our Values & Expectations

  • Respect and consideration for other team members and our audience.

Why Data Science Careers in the UK Are Becoming More Multidisciplinary

Data science once meant advanced statistics, machine learning models and coding in Python or R. In the UK today, it has become one of the most in-demand professions across sectors — from healthcare to finance, retail to government. But as the field matures, employers now expect more than technical modelling skills. Modern data science is multidisciplinary. It requires not just coding and algorithms, but also legal knowledge, ethical reasoning, psychological insight, linguistic clarity and human-centred design. Data scientists are expected to interpret, communicate and apply data responsibly, with awareness of law, human behaviour and accessibility. In this article, we’ll explore why data science careers in the UK are becoming more multidisciplinary, how these five disciplines intersect with data science, and what job-seekers & employers need to know to succeed in this transformed field.
