A global CRO is looking to hire a Flatiron Data Analyst to join them on a permanent basis. The Senior Data Analyst will sit within the Real World Solutions team and will be responsible for leading and programming analyses for oncology observational studies under one client portfolio.


It is essential that applicants statistical programming expertise in oncology observational research studies. In this role, individuals will have access to real-world databases and function as the steward of the client’s best practices, standards, and methodologies underlying the use of real-world data (RWD).


Essential Functions

  • Lead development of statistical programs and conduct analyses using oncology-specific secondary real world data sources, including claims, EHR, HEOR, and genomic data.
  • Support development of other study documents including statistical analysis plans, analysis specifications, and study reports
  • Assess the feasibility of using real-world data sources to characterize patient populations, build patient cohorts, and define and validate key variables specific to study objectives.
  • Plan and program the integration of data from multiple sources.
  • Conduct analyses to characterize patient cohorts and QC datasets within time, budget, and quality standards for a variety of real-world studies.
  • Manage and contribute to quality control of programs and automation of data refreshes.
  • Communicate timelines, progress reports, and results to project team and key stakeholders.
  • Provide technical, programming, and statistical expertise and independently bring project solutions to team for complex studies.
  • Closely collaborate with epidemiologists and other scientists to develop and refine data management and analytic procedures, code lists, and workflows


Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Biostatistics, Epidemiology, Data Science or related field with 5-8 years relevant experience or PhD with 2 years of relevant experience required.
  • Knowledge of statistics, programming, and real-world studies
  • Prior programming experience usingFlatiron Health data required.
  • Prior experience programming oncology-specific methodologies, including deriving lines of therapy and conducting survival analyses.
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of SAS preferred, R acceptable.
  • Good organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Ability to effectively manage and prioritize multiple tasks and projects.
