WHAT YOU DO AT AMD CHANGES EVERYTHING We care deeply about transforming lives with AMD technology to enrich our industry, our communities, and the world. Our mission is to build great products that accelerate next-generation computing experiences – the building blocks for the data center, artificial intelligence, PCs, gaming and embedded. Underpinning our mission is the AMD culture. We push the limits of innovation to solve the world’s most important challenges. We strive for execution excellence while being direct, humble, collaborative, and inclusive of diverse perspectives. AMD together we advance_ The Role: GPU compute is now becoming ubiquitous, this role will pull together a deep knowledge of either buy side or sell side (or both) financial services knowledge in terms of computational requirements. The role is setup to then work on either seeing how GPU’s can be applied to the computational and business requirements of our FSI customers, or how existing accelerated workloads can be optimized for AMD Instinct products. Once these requirements and solutions have been defined the role needs to engage directly with customers in order to have them adopt Instinct technology, and work with internal teams to create and market the required solutions. By definition the role brings together an in-depth technical knowledge of both GPU architecture and FSI algorithms, which then acts in concert across AMD functions such as sales, marketing, product management, AI software optimization, silicon architects and other functions as required to successfully increase Instinct market share in the industry. The Person: The desired person for this role would be a very unique individual who can understand deep, complex technical problems and articulate them in a manner which can be understood across non-technical functions within AMD. This by definition requires that the person is an effective communicator, not just internally but is also capable of being credible and effective in front of customers from engineers through to senior business leaders. The desired person is also able to work autonomously and has a drive and eagerness to make a positive impact to the Instinct business. This mix of geek, outgoing orator, credible technical resource, team builder, go-getter, influencer and commercially savvy leader makes this role extremely compelling for the right person. There will be frequent travel involved in this role. Key responsibilities: Engage with FSI customers to develop a keen understanding of their goals, strategies, and technical needs and help to define and deliver the solutions that meet those needs. Assist the customer and our OEM partners through the sales process for FSI installations, being responsible for the driving the deal, and assisting customers and our partners in building creative solutions based on AMD technologies. Provide customer requirements to AMD engineering teams in order to foster product and platform improvements. Be a recognized and credible technical resource in the wider industry with a vision for integrating AMD technologies into AI system architectures. Preferred Experience: Data scientist, quant, developer or similar in an FSI company using GPU’s Specialized FAE or technical sales role selling HW accelerators into the FSI industry Existing network within the FSI Ecosystem Experience with GPU’s or other accelerators Academic Credentials: Technical degree or relevant experience necessary. #LI-NB1 #LI-REMOTE At AMD, your base pay is one part of your total rewards package.
