Currently working with a growing global Cambridge business to recruit a financial controller.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Finance Manager looking to progress into a financial controller role, reporting directly to the CFO. You will be a qualified accountant CIMA/ACA/ACCA or equivalent.

Key responsibilities will include preparation of accurate and timely management accounts and Board pack including key commercial business insights ready for CEO & CFO review.

Ensure accuracy of internal management reporting with board pack reporting to ensure consistency of data across the business. Analyse business performance using data analytics on a weekly and monthly basis with a focus on reporting variances with key recommendations.

Identify and implement automation strategies across functions such as Accounts Receivable Accounts Payable and month-end reporting tasks. Provides accurate forecasting and management of group daily cashflow with weekly reporting to the CEO and CFO. Work with the CEO and CFO to manage robust budget and forecasting processes for presentation to the board and SLT.

Review and enhance the internal control structure to ensure segregation of duties across the finance team.
Ensure all ledgers are being reconciled monthly including cash receipts and balance sheet reconciliations are completed monthly with reconciling items being identified and resolved.

Coach the finance team and implement a continuous improvement culture to support team members undertaking professional examinations.
