Job Title: Finance Systems Administrator

Location: Flexible to UK locations with occasional travel to Barrow-In-Furness. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.

Salary: £40,000 + depending on experience

What you’ll be doing:

Act as the first point of contact for finance systems queries for the Submarines Business Unit, managing and prioritising support requests

Collaborating closely with the wider Finance Systems team & IM&T supporting downstream/upstream toolsets

Assist in testing and implementing system updates and process improvements

Support continuous improvement projects and the development of finance systems

Create and maintain clear process and training documentation for the ERP

Administration of SharePoint for the Submarines Finance function

Ensure financial and system controls are maintained, updated, and aligned with best practices

Identify inefficiencies and data issues, implementing necessary process improvements

Support decision-making to keep ERP, EPM toolsets and other finance systems on track for month-end reporting

Drive issue resolution, ensuring lessons are learned and improvements implemented

Collaborate closely with the wider Finance Systems Team to drive standardisation and improvements across the wider BAE Systems enterprise

Your skills and experiences:

Essential

Experience with SAP S/4HANA FI/CO or similar ERP systems, including administration, reporting, and troubleshooting

Understanding of data quality, financial reporting, and system support; SharePoint administration experience is beneficial

Ability to identify inefficiencies, resolve data issues, and collaborate with third parties (e.g., SAP consultants, developers) to drive solutions

Desirable

Ideally studying towards or holding a CCAB accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, ACA)

A degree in finance, business, or a related field is preferred
