The Strategy and Execution team is responsible for defining and articulating the Chief Data Office (CDO) vision and strategy, and executing on strategic initiatives to deliver on the CDO roadmap. The team leads strategic projects that enable Lines of Businesses and Corporate Functions with the tools and solutions to achieve AI-ready data, and effectively and efficiently manage data risk. This position will play a critical role in the modernization of the Firm’s data management and governance practices.
As an Executive Director for Strategic Execution within the Firmwide CDO, you will be responsible for executing a roadmap that delivers new and enhanced products, solutions, operating models and processes aligned to data across the Firm. You will lead large strategic change programs from initiation through to completion, including program planning, requirements analysis, co-ordination with Product and Technology teams for design, development and testing, managing execution and transition / go-live phases.
Job Responsibilities
Leads strategic change initiatives end-to-end from initiation through to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards Gathers, synthesises and prioritises requirements from Lines of Businesses, Corporate Functions and firmwide stakeholders Partners with Product and Technology to design solutions and defines the product roadmap and deliverables Develops business cases for strategic programs and acquires the necessary funding to deliver the roadmap Communicates the strategic roadmap and priorities to key stakeholders and senior management Establishes governance frameworks to oversee delivery of the strategic roadmap, ensures stakeholder engagement and alignment, and delivers status updates Manages large cross-functional teams across the firm and drives accountability with Lines of Businesses, Corporate Functions and firmwide stakeholders to deliver expected outcomes Identifies potential roadblocks/emerging risks and escalates issues as needed Designs program success measures and metrics aligned to organizational goals, and communicates progress and related reporting to senior executives Develops and maintains deep relationships with stakeholders across lines of businesses and functional areas Leads high performing strategic execution teams and effectively drives the team towards delivery milestones and coaches other team members and contributes to the wider group’s objectives
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
A strong data, analytics or product background is important Experience and technical knowledge of data management and governance, big data platforms, or data architecture Extensive industry experience Experience managing strategic or transformational change, or product development Demonstrated ability to manage tight delivery timelines, and ensure our organization is on track to execute and deliver strategic change that meets our goals Ability to build consensus and progress initiatives in a highly collaborative, cross-functional and matrixed environment Ability to influence people at all levels across a broad variety of functions Excellent leadership skills – of programs, projects, teams and/or employees Strong communication skills and ability to articulate complex ideas and challenges in a succinct way Proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint BS/BA degree or equivalent experience/ Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Economics, or other related area
