Job Title:Pharmacoepidemiologist

Location:remote based in the UK

About the Role:

We are seeking aPharmacoepidemiologistto join ourPharmacovigilance Epidemiologyteam. This role will contribute to the safety assessment of medicinal products across multiple therapeutic areas by analyzing epidemiological and clinical trial data. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in epidemiology and observational research concepts, with experience conducting literature reviews and interpreting safety-related medical data.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a cross-functional environment, collaborating with real-world data (RWD) scientists, statisticians, and clinical safety teams to generate insights that support product safety decisions.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct systematic reviews of epidemiological and clinical trial literature to summarize safety-related medical event data.
  • Design and implement literature search strategies in collaboration with senior Pharmacoepidemiologists.
  • Support the analysis, interpretation, and summarization of aggregate safety data fromreal-world data (RWD)sources such as health insurance claims and electronic health records (EHR).
  • Collaborate with theStatistical and RWD Science teamto develop dashboards/cohorts for safety-related assessments (no programming required).
  • Evaluate the use ofAI toolsto enhance the efficiency of literature reviews.


Qualifications:

  • PhDin Epidemiology or related field.
  • 2+ yearsof experience in thepharmaceutical industryworking in cross-functional teams.
  • Experience withtime-to-event analysis, competing risks, and propensity score-based methods.
  • Knowledge ofpharmacoepidemiological methodsfor safety signal detection and comparative analyses.
  • Familiarity withreal-world databases(e.g., MarketScan, PharMetrics, CPRD GOLD) and electronic health data sources.
