The Opportunity

QBE Europe is currently seeking an Enterprise Architect to join our well-established architecture team in our London Office. This role will be pivotal as we embark on our modernisation journey within our technology and transformation function.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to make a significant impact in a leading insurance company. As an Enterprise Architect at QBE Europe, you will be at the forefront of our efforts to modernize and transform our technology landscape. You will have the chance to work with a talented and collaborative team, and your contributions will directly influence the success of our modernisation initiatives.

Your new role

  • Conduct technology assurance and governance to ensure alignment with architecture policy and practices.
  • Maximise alignment and leverage reuse of technology to achieve cost efficiencies.
  • Deliver or contribute to strategy, principles, policies, and roadmaps for assigned domains in line with agreed timelines and priorities.
  • Establish foundational enterprise solution architectures for assigned domains and conduct research on emerging architecture and technology trends.
  • Lead the establishment and implementation of standards and guidelines for technology solutions.
  • Provide oversight and leadership on large projects to support business objectives and ensure Solution Architects understand the strategic direction of projects.
  • Actively promote and embed architectural ways of working and due governance.

About you

  • Proven expertise as Solution architect or Enterprise Architect, with strong project delivery in large-scale programs.
  • Strong understanding of finance domain, including actuarial principles and reserving knowledge.
  • Experience in financial data architecture, management information and enterprise integration.
  • Experience in working with third-party suppliers, outsource partners and cross-functional teams.
  • Proven ability in problem analysis, design techniques and managing parallel architecture programs while prioritising work effectively.
  • Strong documentation, communication and interpersonal skills, ensuring alignment with diverse audiences.
