EQUANS is looking for a Senior Consultant / Energy Engineering Manager to join our team in Central London on a hybrid, permanent and full time basis. On offer is a competitive salary of £45,000 - £65,000, company vehicle or allowance and benefits package. Must be open to travel.

The Energy and Carbon Solutions (ECS) consulting division provides an initial engagement that helps shape our new and existing client’s operational plans to deliver their net zero objectives. What differentiates us from many of our competitors in the consulting space is our ability to transition these plans into engineering management programmes through our wider project delivery and operations teams. Our team is therefore composed of commercially minded engineers who are able to create and present attractive solutions that have the potential to be delivered by Equans as a turnkey net zero partner.

We work with a wide range of clients including manufacturing, industry, corporate, commercial, retail, heritage and transport bodies, as well as a significant footprint in the public sector.

What will you deliver?

Accountabilities

  • Supporting effective team and project management, including project completion timelines, project costs and profitability, and ensuring client needs are met

  • Delivering technical reports and energy audits as part of the solution development process

    Operations and Solutions Achievement

    This is a highly technical position requiring engineering thinking and problem solving to a high degree. The role also requires complex analytical and commercial thinking and will support the development of the client deliverables to agreed timescales and quality standards.

  • Undertaking energy audit activities, development, engineering, and conceptual design of energy projects

  • Develop complex and dynamic numerical models of engineering and commercial aspects of energy project feasibility

  • Ensure compliance with EQUANS quality assurance processes including peer and management review

  • Communicate with all stakeholders to brief on submissions as they progress

  • Support in delivering profitability and revenue delivery targets for each engagement through proactive time management and efficiency in delivery

  • Articulate the key risks and benefits of the opportunity to key stakeholders

  • Working with commercial and finance teams to develop profitable and compelling outcomes

  • Providing subject matter expertise and continuity of support to the energy and carbon solution projects that are handed over to the divisional projects team

    Sales Achievement – develop low carbon and energy solutions opportunities through the sales process, including:

  • Actively maintain a strong knowledge on EQUANS, industry, client, sector and competitor trends

  • Providing thought leadership on behalf of EQUANS to our clients and represent EQUANS at events

    Who are we looking for?

    Qualifications or Required Experience:

  • Technical knowledge of implementing energy solutions, and a firm understanding of building, commercial or industrial and manufacturing engineering services

  • Energy related engineering or applied science degree

  • Demonstrated technical and commercial modelling depth in two or more disciplines:

  • decarbonisation of heat

  • renewable energy

  • energy management and retrofit, industrial energy management

  • district heating

  • energy & carbon data analytics

  • Confident and articulate in presenting technical and commercial cases to customers at management/decision maker level

  • Experience of presenting to organisations and individuals, both orally and in writing, information and complex technical issues and potential solutions in a clear and concise mannerr
