Job Description

As a Director, Finance Business Intelligence, this individual will report directly to the SVP Finance and Strategy and collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders to generate valuable insights that drive our business growth. The Director is a strategic leadership role responsible for developing and leading enterprise-wide business intelligence and consumer insights. This executive will drive the organization's data-driven decision-making by transforming complex data into strategic insights that guide operational excellence, customer engagement, and innovation.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a strong understanding of Fanatics Betting and Gaming, as well as related products and operations.
  • Define and lead company wide business intelligence and insights serving as an advisor to the executive team and peers, to influence business decisions through data and insights.
  • Design and build insightful metric definitions, KPIs, and reporting including overseeing governance, quality and integrity to data reporting; whilst establishing best practices and standards across the Data community.
  • Lead and develop a team of talented analysts and collaborate with other Data Teams and Data Engineering teams to find solutions to business problems.
  • Deliver actionable insights through advanced analytics, dashboards and predictive modelling, translating data into compelling business stories to inform strategic planning and execution. Gather and present insights metrics and activities to key stakeholders, becoming a trusted source of intelligence over time with knowledge across wider consumer and marketing analysis.
  • Remain current on technology and trends in data analytics and the sports betting & gaming industry.

Experience and Skills

  • The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator, who instils confidence, thinks creatively, and is able to lead and develop alternative approaches to complex issues, and who has:
  • A minimum of 5 years proven management experience in an analytics role.
  • Strong SQL and Python(programming) proficiency (e.g Snowflake, DBT Experienced with deep understanding of data visualisation and reporting tools (e.g. Tableau, Sigma, Power BI, Looker).
  • Customer obsessed and experience focused; highly outcome-oriented and data-driven; experienced in working in high growth environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to partner closely with stakeholders, earning trust and prioritizing relationships.
  • Logical and analytical approach to problem solving. Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to translate complex data concepts for non technical audiences.
  • Positive and flexible attitude, a willingness to embrace new initiatives.
  • Understanding of sports betting or experience in customer behavior analysis
  • Must be open to travel for team offsites and events.
