A leading global events organiser is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Database Marketing Strategist to play a crucial role in driving the success of our portfolio of events. This exciting opportunity will see you at the heart of our marketing strategy, shaping how we connect with our target audiences worldwide.

About the Role:
This newly created position will be instrumental in developing and executing data-driven marketing strategies for our diverse range of energy events. You will collaborate closely with product marketing teams to define target markets, create and maintain strategic database plans, and ensure we reach the right audience at the right time. You will be responsible for growing our energy database, conducting gap analyses to ensure comprehensive market coverage, and managing a multi-million dollar budget for database development and data acquisition.

Responsibilities:

Partner with product marketing to define target markets and event sub-components, leading to improved event-specific targeting and successful execution of campaigns.
Develop and implement comprehensive database strategies aligned with marketing objectives, driving database growth and achieving strategic goals.
Conduct regular gap analyses to ensure full market coverage and database relevance, promptly identifying and addressing data gaps.
Collaborate with the central data team to ensure high-quality data delivery, continuously improving data quality metrics.
Manage and maintain customer records, ensuring data accuracy and integrity, and improving database hygiene.
Oversee a multi-million dollar budget for database development, optimising resource allocation and achieving data acquisition targets.
Create and deliver automated KPI reports to senior leadership, proactively communicating progress and implementing solutions.
Analyse multiple data sources to provide actionable insights for enhancing customer experience and personalisation, driving data-driven improvements in marketing effectiveness.Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
3+ years of experience in a marketing data role, including managing large global datasets.
Experience in the energy sector is a plus.
Strong numerical and analytical skills, with advanced proficiency in Excel and other data manipulation tools.
Experience with project management applications (e.g., Jira, (url removed)).
Familiarity with data visualisation and business intelligence software (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI) is desirable.
Experience with SQL is desirable.
Excellent attention to detail, prioritisation skills, and time management abilities.
Customer-focused and data-driven mindset with strong communication skills.
Adaptability and flexibility in a fast-paced environment.
