Responsibilities

  • Partner with engineering and trading teams to monitor and validate market data across multiple asset classes, including equities and futures.
  • Build and enhance automated data quality checks tailored to different data types (e.g., L1, L2, L3).
  • Support the alignment of real-time and historical data feeds, ensuring consistency across systems.
  • Contribute to the development of proactive monitoring tools and alerting mechanisms to detect anomalies.
  • Investigate and resolve data discrepancies, collaborating with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
  • Document data quality metrics, issue resolution workflows, and best practices.
  • Continuously improve data quality frameworks through automation and process optimisation.

Qualifications / Ideal Candidate Profile

  • 3-5 years of experience in data engineering, data quality, or a related technical discipline.
  • Strong Python skills, particularly for data validation, automation, and analysis.
  • Familiarity with market data feeds (e.g., L1/L2/L3) and vendors such as Bloomberg or Refinitiv is advantageous.
  • Solid understanding of data pipelines, ETL processes, and real-time data systems.
  • Analytical mindset with a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative attitude.
  • Interest in financial markets or prior experience in a trading or investment environment is a plus.
