Data Governance Specialist - 12 Month Fixed Term Contract

This is a great job for someonewho has experience in communicating and presenting with the ability to articulate complex ideas and concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences

A bit about the job:

We're looking for a dedicated professional to join us on a 12-month project-based assignment supporting the development and implementation of a revised Data Governance Framework. This role is critical in aligning our data practices with industry best standards, Aviva Business Standards, regulatory requirements, and Aviva Investors' strategic priorities.

You'll be responsible for establishing and embedding data quality standards and processes to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency across systems-while implementing the Aviva Group Data Quality Framework. Working closely with the Data Governance Officer, you'll help define governance roles, foster a culture of data stewardship, and conduct assessments to identify improvement areas and mitigate data-related risks.

You'll also support the rollout of tools for data lineage, metadata management, and quality monitoring, and provide guidance and training to business units to strengthen understanding and compliance with data governance principles.

Skills and experience we're looking for:

  • Experience in the asset management industry.
  • Expertise in data governance and regulatory compliance.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Good understanding of the asset management industry, products, processes, customer needs, and regulatory requirements.
