The opportunity

Reporting to the Senior Data Governance Manager, theData Governance Analystwill be instrumental in optimising the value of our data. You be part of a close knit team, assisting in integrating all aspects of the Data Governance Framework. Your responsibilities will include guaranteeing that the Openwork Group can leverage top-notch and reliable data for evaluating performance, gaining insights, and making informed decisions. This is a fantastic time to join our Data Governance team, as we accelerate our work to improve the maturity of the function and processes.Hybrid role, based 2-3 days a week in our Swindon office.What we offer:Salary -up to £50,000
Bonus scheme - on target bonus - 7.5%

Help to build out the data governance capability across the organisation, iterating the governance framework.
Build data structures (reports and dashboards) that support stakeholders in improving their access to data.
Support the embedding of the data governance framework, including policies, standards, and controls.
Work with the business to produce Data standards (+ other artefacts) & data quality rules for business-critical data.
Prepare admin for Data Governance Council, Operational Forums & other governance mechanisms (Agendas, slides,
minutes, action & decision logs).
Chair the Operational Forums, ensuring they deliver meaningful value for the Governance office, and stakeholders alike.
Assess & Improve quality of data used within Openwork.
Work with stakeholders to understand their needs and manage expectations in line with the broader business requirements. Provide training to data owners and stewards to best utilise tools to access, understand, and interpret datasets and reports.
Build effective relationships across the Partnership.
Support building the Openwork data community to ensure best practice across the Partnership.
Help the business to become more data mature.

What will you need to succeed?

Understanding of data governance frameworks Experience working within a highly regulated sector Experience in data governance, data management or a similar role Experience in data management principles, tools & technologies Experience of using data quality measurement via technology, as part of a strong governance programme.
Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Power BI (or similar visualisation tool). Familiarity with data privacy regulation, such as GDPR. Numerate and investigative – gets to the root of problems and does not accept the first answer. Skills in identifying and analysing problems, identifying & evaluating options, and sound decision-making skills. Ability to apply judgement to situations requiring balance between time and accuracy.
Strong stakeholder management skills.
