What you’ll be doing

Developing and maintaining Data Pipelines for extraction, transformation and loading processes


Assembling large, complex data sets that meet user and business requirements
Collaborating with data scientists and intelligence analysts, to support and deliver against their requirements
Identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance data delivery and scalability
Build and maintain collaboration partnerships with internal and external working groups on data analysis and big data platforms.
Responsible for contributing towards delivering tools and analytics needed to generate world class threat intelligence
Committed to the continual improvement of BT's capability to operationally exploit tools and data to better Protect BT, its business and reputation. 
Accountable to Cyber Threat Intelligence Capability Development Manager to ensure that data pipelines are developed and maintained, for users to generate world-class threat intelligence. 

Skills Required for the Role

Track Record in working with Big Data technologies and tools utilized for handling large datasets.


Proficiency in programming and debugging/troubleshooting complex issues.
Expertise in Data Processing frameworks and schema design.
Experience with Data Ingestion tools and developing robust data pipelines.
Familiarity with Data Science tools and techniques.
Excellent problem-solving abilities and able to work through issues in a logical manner, documenting solutions as required.
Demonstrable experience of continuous improvement, process optimization and automation.

Experience Required for the Role

Experience of working with big data and data analytics. 


In-depth knowledge of data analysis platforms and tooling.
Strong communication skills, able to articulate complex technical requirements to a range of audiences
Typically qualified to degree level, or equivalent professional experience.
