SR2 are actively seeking aMid-level Data Engineerfor a fast-growingfinancial services company.

Location:London (remote first working).

Salary:£45,000 - 50,000 (plus 10% bonus).

Tech / Tools:Python, SQL, ELT, Airflow, Power BI, BigQuery, Snowflake, DataBricks, Azure and/or AWS.

Key responsibilities:

// As one of the Data Engineers, you will be responsible for the development, testing, and maintenance of their data platform, ensuring the availability, reliability, and integrity of all data.

// You will work with your team to help deliver key projects on time and to a high standard.

// Create robust, performant data pipelines.

// Be instrumental in driving forward a new data strategy, working alongside stakeholders to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation.

// Demonstrate strong programming / scripting skills in Python.

// Implement CI/CD practices for data pipelines to improve efficiency and quality of data processing.

// Build robust ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from diverse sources.

// Continuously monitor system performance and implement strategies to enhance efficiency.

// Be responsible for designing and maintaining robust data architectures, optimising data processing workflows, and ensuring the integrity and accessibility of data for analysis.

Ideal candidate:

// 4+ years in a Data Engineering position.

// Highly proficient in Python and SQL.

// Experience of data warehousing solutions (e.g. Snowflake, Databricks, Redshift, BigQuery) is highly desired.

// Knowledge of reporting and BI Tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau, Cognos).

// Financial Services experience a bonus, but is not essential.

// Strong problem-solving skills with an emphasis on scalable, high-quality solutions.

// Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
