We are looking to recruit an experiencedDataArchitecture and Engineering Director. This role is ideal for someone witha proventrack recordof building a pipeline of workcombined withexcellent coaching skills tosupportourgrowing technical team. We are looking for an individual that hasa clear vision, is up to date on the latest technologies,great problem-solving skills, intellectualcuriosityand an agile outlook.  

You will be joining a Manchester based team and report into a localPartner.Digitaloperatesas a national stream and the rolewillinvolvecollaborating with clients across the UK andsupporting teamsinother BDO offices. Through your work you will have the opportunity to work with experienced team members in an environment that supports and encourages personal development of soft and technical skills. 

You’llbe someone with:  

  • A strong network across the UK and experience in building a pipeline of opportunitiesforData, Analytics and AIprojects 

  • Knowledge of key challenges facing businesses and how digital technologies can be an enabler in solving those 

  • Knowledge of modern data architecture and engineering principles and techniques including designingand building robust, scalable data platforms to support a range of data processing and analytics requirements 

  • Experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services for storage,processingand analytics 

  • Proficiencyin data platforms such as FabricandDatabricks, with a strong ability to design, develop, and implement data solutions that meet client needs 

  • Strong programming skills in Python and SQL for data manipulation, transformation, and automation tasks 

  • Ability to present data and findings clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical audiences 

  • Collaborative leader with excellent coaching skills

  • A problem solver who takes the initiative, drives projects forward with flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and business needs
