Data Architect (Databricks) – Fully Remote – 6-Month Contract – Outside IR35

VIQU have partnered with an organisation who are seeking a Data Architect to support a high-profile programme of work geared around an integration of Databricks and AWS platforms.

The role:

The successful Data Architect will bring recent, hands-on experience with Databricks and AWS, with a focus on delivering a Common Data Platform (CDP) and supporting large-scale data migrations. This role will involve creating high-level and low-level designs, producing architectural artefacts, and leading the integration efforts across the platforms.

Key Skills & Responsibilities:

Recent experience with Databricks and an understanding of the latest features and tools on the platform.
In-depth knowledge of AWS services (S3, Redshift, Glue) and how they integrate with Databricks.
Contribute to both High-Level and Low-Level architectural design, producing comprehensive architectural artefacts.
Data integration expertise: Creating artefacts and solutions for data movement between AWS and Databricks.
Data modelling experience, particularly in the context of large-scale, high-volume data sets.
Experience with architectural methodologies such as Kimball, TOGAF, or similar.
Leadership in data migration and integration projects, ensuring successful delivery.
Strong stakeholder management and ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

IR35 status: Outside IR35
Rate: £500 - £600
Location: Remote based with ad hoc travel to Leeds
