Location: Leeds Area or Newcastle Area (Hybrid Working)
Salary: Up to £70,000 + 12% Pension + 15% Bonus + £3K Car Allowance

Architect the future of enterprise data in one of the UK’s largest Utilities digital transformations.
Join a £100M transformation initiative reshaping data, systems, and infrastructure across the enterprise. From integrating Oracle SaaS , Azure , and AWS , to cleaning up legacy data flows and designing scalable, secure architectures, this is a strategic Data Architect role where your decisions shape long-term value .
You’ll lead the enterprise data architecture function, defining models, lineage, governance frameworks, and integration standards across both IT and Operational Technology (OT) landscapes.
What You’ll Do (Key Responsibilities)
Own the end-to-end enterprise data architecture strategy across cloud, hybrid, and on-prem systems.
Lead the development of data models , lineage , and governance frameworks that ensure data trust, accuracy, and traceability.
Define architecture standards for data integration , master data management , and metadata strategy .
Support key programmes like ITSM (ServiceNow) and back-office platform migrations , ensuring the right data gets to the right place at the right time.
Design secure data flows and integration patterns across cloud ecosystems including Azure , AWS , and Oracle .
Collaborate with stakeholders to embed data-first thinking into platform decisions and enterprise architecture.
What You’ll Bring (Experience & Skills)
5+ years' experience in data architecture, data engineering, or enterprise architecture roles.
Expertise in enterprise data design , data governance , and large-scale cloud data platform integration.
Strong understanding of data privacy, compliance, and regulations in a regulated or critical infrastructure environment.
Experience working on digital transformation projects involving legacy modernisation , SaaS integration , and hybrid cloud ecosystems.
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, able to bridge business outcomes with technical delivery.
Desirable
Exposure to Operational Technology (OT) or data flows across Purdue-model architectures.
Familiarity with Oracle SaaS , ServiceNow , or DNO (Distribution Network Operator) environments.
Experience delivering enterprise data architecture within the utilities, energy, or infrastructure sector.
