Youllbe ourSeniorDataDomain Architect, workingon DWPscore data architecture and digital strategy. You will have the abilityand agencyto advise, steer, and influence decisions at the centre of DWP's digital transformation.
You will govern solution designs, approving architecture decisions and technology choices.
You will share your data domain knowledge and experience to drive IT strategy, including defining the tools and techniques mostappropriate forthe environment.
You will deliver and promote architecture patterns and solutions for the data domain, including:
Solution designs, approving architecture decisions and technology choices.
Supportingthe delivery of a data technology roadmap.
Understandingindustry trends and research in the data domain.
Supportingthedata design elements of solutions.
Assistin defining the strategic IT data architecture.
You will have no line management responsibilities.You will work closely with ourLead Data Domain Architect.
You will need the skills to:
Govern architecture design of business-critical IT projects/services in a large, complex UK central government or private sector organisation.
Develop data strategies, blueprints, reference architectures, and design patterns.
Design conceptual, logical, and physical data models.
Understand database design, technologies, design patterns, tools, and best practices (including RDBMS, NoSQL, and Open Source).
Work with public cloud technologies, cloud hosting, and best practices.

Location:Youlljoin us in one of our brilliant digital hubs inBirmingham, Blackpool, Leeds, Manchester,Newcastleor Sheffield.whichever is most convenient for you.
Hybrid Work:We also have all the tools and tech we need to enable our people to work and collaborate flexibly. We work a hybrid model, with some time at home and some time in a hub with the team.
Pay:We offer competitive payfrom£55,557 to£70,000
Pension:Youllbe eligible for a brilliant civil service pension with employer contributions of28.97%, worthup to £19,000a year.
Holidays:Youllget a generous leave package starting at26 days rising to 31, plus all the usual bank holidays, and theoptionto take?extra days off?on flexi leave.
