What will you be doing?

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Audit Data Analytics Manager to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analytics, preferably gained within the accountancy and auditing industry, coupled with a professional qualification. Recent experience of project managing and delivering high quality data projects within the audit sector is favourable. In particular, experience in creating and delivering value-adding data analytics programmes or initiatives to drive high quality auditing is highly desirable. Knowledge and practical use of visualisation techniques and automation are areas of focus where candidates would be able to demonstrate value.

The successful candidate will play a key role in driving the audit and assurance team’s data analytics strategy, enhancing team engagement with analytics, creating the future road map and, interacting with a range of stakeholders.

This is a permanent role to be based at our Bristol office.

As a Data Analytics Manager, your responsibilities will include among others,

  • Lead the development and implementation of data analytics programmes to enhance audit quality and audit processes
  • Drive engagement and collaboration across audit teams and other stakeholders
  • Utilise technical auditing knowledge to identify and address audit risks and opportunities
  • Manage and deliver audit data analytics projects, with the support of our change and digital transformation services team, ensuring timely and high-quality outcomes
  • Provide training and support to audit teams on data analytics tools and techniques
  • Interact with our audit technical and training team
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients. Audit teams and other internal stakeholders.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in data analytics and auditing
  • Develop and maintain data models, dashboards, and visualisations to communicate insights to stakeholders
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and internal policies in all data analytics activities


Qualifications

Skills and Experience

To be successful in this role, you should have

  • Professional qualification in accountancy (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CPA)
  • Extensive experience in auditing and accountancy
  • Proven track record in delivering or creating data analytics programmes or initiatives
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Experience with data analytics tools (e.g., ACL, IDEA, Power BI, Alteryx) is preferable and favourable, but not essential
  • Advanced proficiency in data analytics techniques, statistical analysis, and data visualisation tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)

 

Desirables:

  • In-depth knowledge of audit methodologies and frameworks
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex information to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities
