HOURS:

35 hours, full time
WORKING PATTERN:

Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at one of our office sites.
About this opportunity
We’re looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Data Analyst to help drive new insights and streamline our data reporting within the UW & Claims strategy space. This is a 12 month position.
You’ll help lead and shape projects and initiatives within the protection business to drive the Groupwide Data & Analytics Strategy & Culture, supporting innovative ways and technologies to help deliver our strategy. Producing insightful, high quality information - tailored to senior stakeholders in the UW & Claims strategy teams and the wider protection space.

What will I be doing?
Analysis of UW & Claims data from an array of sources including our underwriting rules engine, policy admin systems and external portals

Collating and interrogating large and complex data sets in order to highlight key trends and deliver new insights for UW & Claims strategy and the wider business.

Meets the needs of significant customers related to a range of products and services and/or manages a customer advisor team over a given area.

Writes and edits materials for a variety of target populations, tailoring the tone and content to match the needs and expectations of each audience.

Takes responsibility for implementing a team's formal development framework with guidance from senior colleagues, while informally coaching others throughout the organisation in area of expertise and pursuing and investing in opportunities for own personal development.

Identifies shortcomings in existing processes, systems and procedures, then uses established change management programmes to deliver prescribed outcomes and/or provide support services.

Advises managers how to apply a wide variety of existing procedures and precedents.

Highlights shortcomings and suggests improvements in current IT Security processes, systems and procedures within assigned unit and/or discipline.

Delivers prescribed outcomes for a designated area, using risk management systems to ensure the organisation is not exposed to undue risks.

What you’ll need
Experienced in data analysis ideally within a financial services environment

Experience of being able to work independently and in a team environment, showing leadership skills to the team

Strong attention to detail

Excellent presentation skills and telling a story through data and articulate trends

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including negotiation and partner management

Think fast on feet. Able to consider the bigger picture and understand dependencies, constraints and other considerations; not just focusing directly on the issue
