A well-established lender in the UK mortgage market is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Data Analyst to join their growing analytics team in Maidstone. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong analytical background, a keen interest in data, and a drive to develop their technical skills within a supportive and fast-paced environment.
 
In this role, you will be working closely with internal teams to extract, clean, analyse, and visualise data that informs business decisions and supports ongoing projects. You’ll be using SQL and Python to query and manipulate data, while presenting insights in a clear and actionable format. The successful candidate will thrive in a team environment, be comfortable with deadlines, and maintain high standards of accuracy and clarity in their work.
 
Key Responsibilities

Extract data using SQL from internal systems
Clean and prepare datasets, removing anomalies or errors
Assess data quality and identify any inconsistencies
Format and present data in a clear and accessible way for wider business use
Create regular and ad hoc reports to support business initiatives
Use Python and other tools for data manipulation and analysis
Collaborate with other teams to respond to data-related requests
Contribute to projects outside of core analysis work where required What we are looking for:

Strong SQL skills and experience with data querying
Highly proficient in Excel, including functions and pivot tables
Educated to degree level in a STEM discipline (preferred)
Knowledge or experience of Python is advantageous
Analytical thinker with a methodical approach to problem-solving
Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Able to manage and prioritise workload effectively
