Data Analyst | BI Analyst | SQL | Powerbi | Azure

My client based in Surrey are looking to recruit an experienced Data Analyst/Developer for their internal IT team.

You can work from home 1 days a week.

Summary:

The Data Analyst will take full ownership of data analytics across the organization, driving Business Intelligence with a data-centric approach. Collaborating with stakeholders, this role will involve managing the entire data lifecycle, from data creation to reporting, to deliver actionable insights. Whilst ensuring that stakeholders can effectively interpret and utilize data to make informed decisions.

Primary Tasks and Duties:

Requirement elicitation and stakeholder management
Driving actionable data projects and reports from requirements to drive departmental decision making
Designing Dashboards to be visually impactful, easy to use, performant and allow for drill through, drown down and general discoverablity of insights,
Ability to create informative data visualisations and a good understanding of the fundamentals of data visualisation design.
Analysing and Interpreting data to derive trends to help decision making
Work with other departments to understand their data needs and provide meaningful data to aid their business decisions.
Working with IT team for development and maintenance of Azure Data Lake functionality.
Responsible for integrating with 3rd party systems and developing new systems and reports as needed.
Design, develop, and implement BI dashboards from various databases and create reports and data models based on client's requirements.
Create insights that influence meaningful business decisions.
Analyse data and troubleshoot issues with data integrity and report these findings across all areas of the business.
Experience in mining, extracting, and manipulating data from / between different databases and systems.
Comfortable working with relatively large datasets.

Experience sought:

SQL
Strong experience with ingesting and manipulating data from API's, raw files and databases.
Strong practical experience of using Power BI.
Strong practical experience in shaping and dimensionally modelling data.
Strong practical ability to structure data to optimise efficiency in data visualisation;
Strong practical experience of DAX in Power BI.
Practical Experience utilizing Azure Functions and Azure Service Bus.
Excellent knowledge of Database Design
Excellent understanding of the data life cycle, including ingestion, transformation, and consumption.
Strong data manipulation ability
