SQL Developer | East Midlands | £40-£50k + Bonus + Benefits

An experienced SQL Developer is required for an Analytics business based in the East Midlands. Working closely with data engineers, business analysts, and leadership teams, you will take charge of developing and optimising complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and database architectures to support business operations. The ideal candidate will be highly proficient in SQL development, database administration, and performance tuning while ensuring data integrity and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, optimise, and maintain complex SQL queries, views, and stored procedures using Microsoft SQL Server
Design scalable and efficient data models in collaboration with internal teams and clients
Integrate data across various systems, including RDBMS (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL platforms (e.g., MongoDB)
Support the Business Intelligence team in delivering insightful reporting solutions
Ensure data quality, integrity, and performance across high-volume systems
Participate in stakeholder discussions to shape bespoke data strategies
Essential Requirements

Commercial experience as a SQL Developer
Strong expertise in Microsoft SQL Server
Familiarity with other relational and NoSQL database technologies
Solid foundation in data engineering, including ETL and pipeline development
Experience with high-transactional systems and performance tuning
Understanding of business analytics and data-driven decision-making
Based locally to East Midlands and available for full-time on-site work
Desirable Skills

Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS)
Knowledge of BI tools such as Power BI or ClarityNexus
Previous consultancy or client-facing experience
