2025 Data Analyst Apprentice - Level 4 Data Analyst Apprenticeship

We are recruiting for a Data Analyst Apprentice, where you will learn how to query and structure data to create new reports that will give us new insight. You will learn how to work closely with stakeholders to make sure their requirements are documented and how to manage them through the process to a successful end product.

Start date: 1st September 2025.

Base Location: Hybrid – Walnut Court Swindon SN2 8BN.

Working hours: 36 hours Monday- Friday.

Programme Length: 16-20 months.

Training provider details:You’ll complete your apprenticeship through Firebrand Training Limited via a mix and blend of online/virtual learning and periodic residential block release at their dedicated training centre in Wyboston Lakes, Bedford where accommodation will be provided.

Qualification you will obtain: Level 4 Data Analyst Apprenticeship Standard.

Entry Requirements:Before attending this accelerated apprenticeship, you should have a minimum of 5 GCSEs or A-Levels, a Level 3 qualification (apprenticeship or BTEC in a relatable subject), or relevant experience and/or an aptitude test. STEM subjects would also be beneficial to your application.

Don’tworry if you dont have your grades yet, if you are due to sit your exams thisyear,we still want to hearifyour predicted grades meet our requirements.

Other immediate demands: A driving license is not essential but you must live within 30 minutes commute and must be able to commute to Walnut Court- Swindon.

Application Process:

Step one:Click apply and you will be asked to complete a short online application where we ask for basic information about yourself, your current qualifications/ predicted grades and why you want to apply for this apprenticeship. (we do not ask for CVs at this stage).

Step two:You will be sent a short online assessment please make sure you are in a quiet environment and have given yourself enough time to complete it.

Step three:You will be sent a link to book a telephone call with a member of our Resourcing Team this is a chance for us to get to know you better and where we will check if you are eligible for the apprenticeship.

Step 4: If you are successful in our screening process you will be invited to an in-person assessment which will include a group exercise and a competency-based interview.

Assessment Centre Dates–Assessments will be held in April and you will be invited for a morning or afternoon session.

What you will be doing as a Data Analyst Apprentice- Level 4

  • Carry out detailed requirement workshops with business stakeholders.
  • Translate business requirements into strong technical and report requirements, ensuring design solutions cover business requirements.
  • Using problem-solving and creative thinking skills to work out how to transform underlying data into a report that provides the outcomes that stakeholders want.
  • Write SQL queries to pull data out in the structure you want, developing new reports linking underlying data sets.
  • Automating data analysis and presenting it in PowerBI.
  • Support in the updating and creation of process documentation, including process maps
  • Execute reporting and analysing data to identify patterns and solutions.

  • Be a champion for Health & Safety within the workplace for both you and your colleagues, helping us maintain our great reputation.
  • Be ready to apply everything you learn in your day-to-day role and any projects outside of this.
