The
Wave, Bristol, are looking for aCommercial Finance Managerwho will
play a pivotal role within
the organisation’s finance team and work directly
under the guidance of the Finance Director.
The primary responsibility will be to
partner with operational teams to ensure delivery of financial forecasting,
reporting and analysis. You will be central to driving overall business
performance by providing accurate, timely, and insightful data and analysis,
and through holding the business to account against its targets and
objectives.

About the role:
Financial
Planning and Analysis (FP&A):
- Develop and maintain financial models for
strategic decision-making.
- Analyse financial performance, variances, and
trends to provide insights for stakeholders.
- Collaborate with departments to create budgets
and forecasts aligned with business strategy.
- Lead the annual budgeting process, identifying
risks and opportunities.
Reporting
and Insights:
- Oversee accurate and complete monthly
management accounts.
- Prepare and present financial reports and
dashboards for senior management, highlighting key metrics.
- Design and manage KPIs and insights using
Power BI and Excel, focusing on business performance.
- Present financial information at weekly
meetings, fostering trust and alignment around data insights.
Cash Flow
Management and Procurement:
- Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure
liquidity.
- Implement strategies to optimise working
capital and seasonal cash flows.
- Manage procurement processes to ensure value
for money and operational efficiency.
Business
Intelligence and Data Integration:
- Provide high-quality business intelligence to
executives and managers.
- Build a knowledge base for continuous learning
and performance optimization.
- Integrate data architectures into reporting
systems for seamless access.
Process
Improvement:
- Identify and implement process improvements
and automation within finance and across the business.
- Ensure continuous enhancement of financial
processes and insights.
Preferred Experience
and Qualifications:
- Qualified/Part-Qualified Accountant (ACA,
ACCA, CIMA).
- Proficient in Power BI and advanced Excel for
modelling and reporting.
- Proven experience in FP&A, financial
reporting, and data insights.
- Strong analytical, mathematical, and
stakeholder engagement skills.
- Experience with MS SQL and the Microsoft
Technology Stack.
