AWE is currently recruiting a Commercial Administrator with knowledge of procurement and governance to provide admin support to the Commercial (Supply Chain) function, specifically supporting the commercial boards and managing pipeline data integrity.

Location: RG7 4PR, located between Reading and Basingstoke, with free onsite parking.

Package: £36,000 to £45,000 (depending on your suitability, qualifications, and level of experience)

Working pattern: AWE operates a 9-day working fortnight. We will consider flexible working requests so that your work may fit in with your lifestyle. Just let us know your preferred working pattern on your application.

Let us introduce the role

As the Commercial Administrator, you will be responsible in ensuring the towers and the category managers are working to the governance that has been set and opportunities to improve process as we continue on our transformation journey. This role includes, but is not limited to:

Working with key stakeholders to manage, maintain and share SCM Data e.g. Procurement pipeline.

Working with the towers to improve the data quality being entered on the pipeline.

Working with key stakeholders to ensure governance is adhered to for individual procurements through both the internal governance process and public procurement regulations.

Support the Commercial Governance manager to ensure that the Category Managers have submitted all documentation to allow procurements to progress for review.

Be the main contact to support any internal and external audits.

Support and contribute to reviews of processes and systems.

Working with key stakeholders to ensure the speedy resolution of queries. E.g. mailbox and closing of actions.

Support change and champion best practice .

Ensuring Supply Chain processes, tools and systems are understood and adhered to.

This is a developing role with opportunity to further shape once ways of working has become established.

Who are we looking for?

You should have previous stakeholder management experience and the ability to influence. What makes this role interesting is we are at the start of a new chapter, with lots of investment, into Commercial, including new tools and systems to be introduced. We are seeking individuals who are well organised, capable of managing multiple work streams, with excellent attention to detail and data accuracy.

You will need to have strong computer skills, specifically using MS Office and data analysis so you should be comfortable using spreadsheets.

We would love to hear from you if you are experienced in:

Proficiency in use of Microsoft Office, including Excel.

Advanced user of electronic purchasing systems (e.g. Oracle and information management tools).

Able to adapt method of communicating to a range of stakeholders.

Preference for working in a highly regulated, compliance-driven environment.

Proactive approach, tackles issues before they become problems.

Development and implementation of best practice processes and systems.

Working with business system and information management systems to support functional governance.

Governance of SCM policies, processes and systems including preparation of material for and participating in audits (internal and external e.g. LRQA, ONR etc.), and reporting risk, savings and benefits.

Provision of standard and bespoke business reports, analysis and presentations.
