Clinical Data Architecture Specialist – Data Models, EHR, Azure

£ Market Rate (Inside IR35)

2 days a week in a London Office

6-month contract

I am currently working with a leading Healthcare Insurance provider who are seeking a Clinical Data Architecture Specialist to support the adoption and implementation of the Health Data Store being developed by a multi-year programme.

Must haves for the role:

Demonstrable experience working with clinical/healthcare data systems, ideally in hospital insurance or digital health environments.

Working experience using standard data models ( openEHR, D, FHIR, OMOP, STDM, etc.)

Strong understanding and end-to-end experience in successfully designing and implementing data systems using openEHR (archetypes, templates, AQL) and
HL7 FHIR (resources, profiles, APIs).

Experience in implementing solutions using cloud-based data platforms frameworks (, Azure, Snowflake, Google Cloud, Mirth Connect and other accelerators).

Experience of working in a multimodal environment when data is presented and organised in multiple modalities.

Proven experience designing and implementing data integration and conversion pipelines from one format to another using ETL/ELT tools, accelerators and frameworks.

Experience of using programming languages such as SQL, Python or R

Experience working for an insurance healthcare provider

Immediate availability

Nice to have

Experience in implementing solution in the UK Healthcare data context.

General experience working with Gen AI including LLM generated clinical data/summaries

Knowledge of handing Genome datasets (FASTQ, VCF etc.) and document formats (IHE)
